Cardinals injury report: Chase Edmonds, Byron Murphy sit out second straight day

The Cardinals had three players out and another six limited for Thursday’s practice.

The Arizona Cardinals released their second injury report of the week on Thursday. There were improvements but also a pair of starters remained sidelined for the second day in a row, while another starter was downgraded.

After 10 sat out Wednesday’s practice, only three were unable to get any work in.

Those who had a day off returned and running back James Conner was back after dealing with something personal.

However, cornerback Byron Murphy (ribs), running back Chase Edmonds (shoulder) and offensive lineman Justin Murray (back) did not practice Thursday. Murphy and Edmonds were out for the second day in a row, while Murray was downgraded from limited to no practicing. Also downgraded was cornerback Marco Wilson (ribs). After being a full participant Wednesday, he was limited Thursday.

Cornerback Antonio Hamilton (ankle), guard Justin Pugh (hip) and tight end Maxx Williams (shoulder) all were unable to practice Wednesday but were upgraded to limited Thursday.

Running back Eno Benjamin (hamstring) and tackle Kelvin Beachum (ribs) were limited for the second day in a row, while linebacker Dennis Gardeck (hand) was a full participant for the second straight day.
