I can’t remember a time when I’ve ever seen this before, but it’s delightful and sweet and I hope this will be a future trend all over the sports world: Juan Soto, the Washington Nationals slugger, came to Dodger Stadium and sat pretty close up while wearing a Nats jersey.
But it wasn’t just any Nationals jersey — it was that of Trea Turner, his former teammate who won a World Series with him in 2019. He was there to root on his old teammate as well as Max Scherzer, who made the start for the Dodgers on Wednesday night. Hitting coach Kevin Long was alongside him, wearing Scherzer threads:

Trea Turner’s wife Kristen posted this on Instagram. There you see Erica Scherzer, Juan Soto, Kevin Long, a World Series ring, and a couple Nats jerseys. What an incredible pic. pic.twitter.com/K6AuhLCSXn
