WR Will Fuller being placed on IR, will miss at least three games

The wideout will miss at least three games.

Monday the Dolphins learned that wide receiver Will Fuller would be week-to-week after suffering a broken finger in Sunday’s loss to the Colts.

According to Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network, and head coach Brian Flores himself during his media availability, Miami is placing Fuller on the injured reserve, officially putting him out for at least three weeks.

The wideout will miss matchups with the Buccaneers, Jaguars, and Falcons over that span where he really could’ve been useful, especially as Jacoby Brissett continues to lead the offense with Tua Tagovailoa out as well.

Depth at the wide receiver position will be tested soon, as the Dolphins traded Jakeem Grant, one of their depth options, on Tuesday to Chicago.

Preston Williams and Albert Wilson will likely be the first two options to help fill in along with getting some help from Adam Shaheen who hasn’t done much in his three games.

Fuller was signed this offseason to a one-year contract worth $10 million. In the first seven weeks of the season, he will have played in just two games and recorded four receptions for 26 yards.

That’s not ideal for the guy you made a priority in free agency.
