The Boston Celtics made their 2021-22 preseason debut on Monday night in a 98-97 win over the Orlando Magic. Celtics forward Jaylen Brown led the offense with 25 points and four rebounds in the win, including 16 points in the first quarter. After the win, Brown, who missed the end of last season due to wrist surgery, told reporters it was just nice to get back out there.
“It was fun. I haven’t been on the court in a while so just getting out there in front of the home crowd, it felt great,” Brown said. “The playoffs was really hard for me to watch, but I’m back, I feel great and ready to play some good basketball.”
Brown missed the final seven regular-season games and all five playoff games due to injury last year.
