The Chicago Bears will travel to Las Vegas in search of their first road win of the season against the Raiders in a contest that wouldn’t be happening if not for the additional regular-season game.
The Bears are coming off a 24-14 win over the Detroit Lions, where Chicago’s offense looked competent behind David Montgomery, Justin Fields and new play caller Bill Lazor. Still, Matt Nagy insists that it’ll be Andy Dalton starting when he’s healthy.
Chicago played some bend-don’t-break defense, where the Lions were able to run all over them. But they also came up with some big stops, including on fourth down, notching two takeaways and four sacks.
Now, they face another big test on the road against a really good Raiders squad.
The Bears have opened as 3.5-point road underdogs against the Raiders, according to Tipico Sportsbook. The over/under is set at 45.5 points.
Chicago has been underdogs in both road games against the Rams and Browns this season. The Bears have also been favorites in Week 2 against the Bengals and Week 4 against the Lions this season.
Can the Bears pull off an upset of the favored Raiders? Or will Las Vegas make it two-in-a-row against Chicago? We’ll see when the Bears and Raiders kick things off Sunday at 3:05 p.m. CT on CBS.
