Ranking Big Ten quarterbacks after Week 5 per PFF grades

The top half have lost no more than one game, which tells it all.

It’s tough to win the Big Ten if you don’t have at least a good quarterback, that much is true. The teams that are struggling as of current haven’t gotten solid quarterback play, whereas those thriving have.

Each week, we rank each Big Ten quarterback against each other according to the cumulative PFF passing grade, and each of the quarterbacks in the top half are either undefeated or have just one loss. PFF’s advanced analytics are not of the predictive variety, instead looking specifically at how they executed from week-to-week.

With that in mind, there was a bit of movement after Week 5. Here is how each quarterback stacks up thus far.
