Sunday’s game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New England Patriots was always going to be about one thing: Tom Brady’s return to New England.
Every step Brady took and every greeting — especially his conversation with Patriots owner Robert Kraft — was seemingly on camera. And the mood around Brady’s return to Gillette Stadium as a member of a different team was overwhelmingly positive. Six Super Bowl rings over two decades will do that.
Brady even kept his Gillette Stadium pregame routine alive when he made his way out the tunnel. As he would do with the Patriots, Brady emerged from the tunnel, ran to the opposite end zone and fist pumped towards the crowd.

That entire entrance drew a massive ovation from the New England crowd, as expected. And we should probably get ready for plenty of tributes to the future Hall of Fame quarterback.
