Twitter rightly shreds the Titans after overtime loss to Jets

The Titans looked pathetic against the Jets on Sunday, and Twitter let ’em have it.

The Tennessee Titans simply imploded during their Week 4 loss to the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium on Sunday, falling 27-24 in overtime.

It was an ugly game for Tennessee’s passing attack, which struggled as a result of poor protection upfront, something that has played a huge role in each of the team’s two losses this season.

Tennessee failed to find pay dirt on three trips to the red zone in the first half, which was the difference in this game. Had the Titans converted on just one of those trips, they likely escape The Big Apple with a “W.”

While the defense was able to keep things together for the first three quarters, it failed to show up in the fourth, allowing the Jets to score a pair of touchdowns in the process, giving New York a late lead.

Tennessee managed to tie it up late in the fourth quarter and force overtime but was unable to match New York’s field goal in the extra frame, as kicker Randy Bullock missed from 49 yards out to give the Jets the win.

As you would expect, Twitter absolutely shredded the Titans — and rightly so — for losing to arguably the worst team in the NFL. Take a look.
