Arkansas ranked No. 13 in Associated Press poll

Arkansas fell five spots after losing to Georgia in Week 5.

Even after Saturday’s loss to Georgia, Arkansas football is still considered one of the best teams in the nation.

The Razorbacks checked in at No. 13 in this week’s Associated Press poll. They dropped five spots from their slot at No. 8 last week. Georgia maintained its position at No. 2 and Alabama No. 1. That makes Arkansas the third-highest ranked team in the SEC.

Arkansas has an opportunity to jump again next week. The Hogs travel to Oxford, Mississippi, to play Ole Miss for Week 6. The Rebels lost to Alabama in Week 5, 42-21.

The SEC had XX teams ranked inside the Top 25: Alabama (1), Georgia (2), Arkansas (13), Kentucky (16), Ole Miss (17),  Auburn (18) and Florida (20).

After the Ole Miss game, Arkansas hosts Auburn for Week 7. A short break follows in Little Rock against Arkansas-Pine Bluff after that, then the Hogs finish the season against Mississippi State (home), LSU (away), Alabama (away) and Missouri (home).
