After taking a week off from or staff predictions due to a game with absolutely no drama attached to it against Villanova, the Nittany Lions Wire crew is back for Week 5 as Pen State take son the Indiana Hoosiers.

I think Penn State will win this game fairly easily. Sean Clifford is on fire right now and has a lot of momentum going his way. The defense is the same it has been all season, lights out. I think Penn State wins this game with a score of 31-17.

You want a revenge opportunity? Here it is. Penn State has been waiting for their chance to get another crack at Indiana after opening last season with an upset loss in controversial fashion in Bloomington. It’s not often Indiana is circled on Penn State’s calendar, but this one certainly should be.

Penn State’s defense has been rising to the occasion all season and that should continue against a wobbly Indiana offense in front of a striped-out Beaver Stadium under the lights. Sean Clifford may not pass for 40 yards again, but he won’t have to. The Penn State running game is still a concern but enough big plays will unfold for the Nittany Lions to prevail. Expect a close game all game long, with a late score to pad the lead enough to get a cover as a two-score favorite.

Penn State 31, Indiana 17
