Head coach Stephen Silas, third-year guard Kevin Porter Jr., and rookie guard Josh Christopher each spoke to the media on Wednesday afternoon following the second day of Houston Rockets training camp.
The Rockets are kicking off activities for the 2021-22 NBA season with a week’s worth of practices and activities in nearby Galveston. Early next week, they will transition back to Houston’s Toyota Center, where the preseason opener is set for next Tuesday versus Washington.
Nearly everyone on the team’s official training camp roster has fully participated in practices to this point, with John Wall (mutual decision to not play in games) and rookie big man Alperen Sengun (non-COVID illness) as the lone exceptions. Silas indicated Wednesday that the Rockets are hopeful of having Sengun back on the court soon.
Here’s a roundup of videos and quotes from the post-practice interviews with Silas, Porter, and Christopher. Training camp resumes on Thursday, also from the Galveston Island Convention Center.
