Sunday’s game between the Los Angeles Rams and Tampa Bay Buccaneers featured a few firsts for Tom Brady. Incredibly, it was his first NFL game ever in Los Angeles, though it didn’t go the way he was hoping. The Rams beat Brady and the Bucs 34-24 at SoFi Stadium, pulling off what was technically a slight upset.
It was a rare type of loss for Brady, too. The Rams are the first team ever to beat Brady in the regular season when he has at least 400 yards passing and zero interceptions. He had done it five times prior to Sunday, winning all five of those previous instances.
The Eagles also beat Brady in the Super Bowl when he had 505 yards passing and zero interceptions, but the Rams are the first to do it in the regular season. It just goes to show how clean of a game Tampa Bay played, committing zero turnovers and gaining 446 total yards but still losing by 10 points.
Brady finished the day with 432 yards passing and one touchdown, adding 14 yards rushing with another touchdown on the ground. The Buccaneers simply couldn’t stop the Rams offense all afternoon, with Los Angeles scoring on six consecutive possessions.
