It wasn’t easy by any stretch, but the Tennessee Titans were able to come away with a 25-16 victory over the Indianapolis Colts at Nissan Stadium on Sunday.
Tennessee took the first lead of the game and never trailed, but allowed the Colts to hang around for the entire game thanks to sloppy play on the offensive side of the ball.
Thankfully, the Titans’ defense stepped up big time and limited the Colts’ offense, which was hampered by quarterback Carson Wentz’s inability to move around, both in and out of the pocket.
That’s right, the Titans’ defense stepped up.
With the victory, the Titans will own sole possession of first place with a 2-1 record, while the Colts will remain in the cellar and are off to an 0-3 start for the first time since 2011.
Now, let’s take a deeper dive into what went on during the Titans’ all-important divisional win over the Colts on Sunday.
