Kenny Young fined $12,000 for making contact with official

Kenny Young was fined but not suspended for making contact with an official in Week 2.

Kenny Young was ejected from last week’s game against the Colts when he made contact with an official during a heated moment after a play in the red zone. It was a costly mistake by the veteran linebacker, who’s become a leader on this defense in 2021.

It won’t cost him any additional game time, fortunately, as the NFL decided not to suspend him. According to Ian Rapoport, Young was fined $12,000 for his unsportsmanlike conduct in the game.

Young has been a starter for the Rams at inside linebacker this season and has played relatively well in the early going. He has 15 tackles, one pass defensed and a fumble recovery in two games.
