Last week, Pittsburgh Steelers guard Trai Turner was ejected after getting into an altercation with Las Vegas Raiders defensive lineman Solomon Thomas. Both players received unsportsmanlike conduct penalties but Solomon was not ejected.
According to NFL reporter Ian Rapoport, Turner is being fined $15,450 for his part in the altercation. An altercation which upon reviewing the video seemed to show Turner spitting in the direction of Thomas.
Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin defended what Turner did and even indicated that Turner was the one who got spit on.
