The Irish took a 10-3 lead into halftime and saw Wisconsin battle back to take a 13-10 lead early in the fourth quarter after hitting a 27-yard field goal. The Badgers then had to kickoff to the explosive Chris Tyree and the Irish running back made the pay big time.
Tyree exploded for 96-yards taking the kickoff to the house and thus giving the Irish the lead back at the most opportune time. It was an absolutely massive play from Tyree, one that many will remember from this Shamrock Series contest. It gave the Irish a very small but important lead, 17-13 over Wisconsin early in the final quarter.
