Penn State may have some concerns to address with their rushing attack after this weekend’s game against Villanova, but Sean Clifford continues to leave his mark through the air. After three long touchdowns in the game, Clifford took a more conventional approach for his fourth touchdown pass of the game.
Clifford’s fourth touchdown pass of the game came on a 23-yard pass to Parker Washington. It was the second time the two connected on a touchdown pass in the game.

This marks the third time in Clifford’s career he passed for four touchdowns in a single game. Before his day was done early in the fourth quarter, Clifford also passed the 400-yard mark. That made Clifford the second passer in school history to pass for 400 yards in a single game.
Sean Clifford has 396 yards as the game heads to the fourth quarter. That is the fourth-most passing yards in a game by a Penn State QB in program history.
Clifford is already No. 3 (398 vs Maryland in 2019).
School record is 454 yards by Christian Hackenberg vs UCF in 2014.
