It feels like it’s been a little while since we’ve seen a Bryson DeChambeau monster drive, maybe since The Match three months ago?
But there’s got to be something about the Ryder Cup that’s getting him fired up — that home United States crowd at Whistling Straits will get anyone pumped to hit a long drive.
On the 5th, a par-5, 581-yard hole, DeChambeau took a different route than, I don’t know, almost every golfer would and bombed a 417-yard tee shot that was reportedly 72 yards from the pin.
MY. GOODNESS. Maybe all that long drive practice has been paying off here too?

I’m with the booth. That doesn’t look real. Look at where it ended up?!
Good lord. Scheffler's is the left line. Bryson's the right.
