The most exciting golf event on the calendar is finally here after an extended absence, and Team USA will try to redeem themselves after a blowout loss in France three years ago.
The Ryder Cup pits the best golfers from the United States against the best players from Europe over a three-day team competition. The 43rd edition of the Ryder Cup matches will take place at Whistling Straits in Haven, Wisconsin. Team Europe currently holds the Ryder Cup, winning by a whopping seven-point margin in 2018.
The Ryder Cup was originally scheduled to be held last year, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, resulting in a realignment of the Ryder Cup (to be held in odd years) and Presidents Cup (to be held in even years) moving forward. Despite the delay, there are still “Ryder Cup 2020” flags flying around the grounds at Whistling Straits.
So how does the Ryder Cup work? We’re here to help.
