While we are just getting into the meat of the 2021 college football season, it appears we also get to look ahead to the 2022 campaign as well.
On Tuesday night the SEC announced the schedule for the 2022 season. We knew all 12 opponents prior to the schedule release but now we know the dates. Kickoff times won’t be determined until closer to the season, even then those could change.
It will all begin down in New Orleans for the LSU Tigers. On Sunday, Sept. 4, 2022, the Tigers will tangle with the Florida State Seminoles at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in the Big Easy. A matchup of the SEC and ACC. Hopefully by the time this game rolls around the Seminoles figure out what ails them.
LSU-Florida State is the only Power Five matchup for the Tigers ahead of SEC play. They also have Southern, New Mexico, and UAB to round out the nonconference schedule. The bye week will fall between the Ole Miss and Alabama game once again.
