While the Tennessee Titans’ thrilling 33-30 Week 2 overtime victory over the Seattle Seahawks produced several impressive performances, wide receiver A.J. Brown was on the opposite side of the spectrum.
Brown had more drops than catches on Sunday, totaling four on nine targets. He ended up finishing with just three catches for 43 yards and was fortunate that his bad day was overshadowed by an incredible win.
After the game, Brown took to Twitter to laugh off his disappointing performance, showing he’s taking it all in stride.
“Someone from my family told me I wouldn’t have caught COVID today if I tried too Lmao,” Brown tweeted.

While Brown struggled, his running mate, fellow wide receiver Julio Jones, was able to pick up the slack with six catches for a team-high 128 yards, and he should have had a touchdown if not for a bad call by officials on a review.
Through two games, Brown has seven catches for 92 yards and a score — not exactly the start everyone was expecting, fantasy managers included.
But better days are ahead for the 24-year-old, who will no doubt bounce back from this one. Brown will have his first shot to do so in Week 3 against the Indianapolis Colts at Nissan Stadium.
