We’ve been waiting for the big play from Tennessee Titans wide receiver Julio Jones — and we finally got it in the second quarter of the Week 2 contest against the Seattle Seahawks.
With the score tied at 3 and the Titans at their own 24-yard line, quarterback Ryan Tannehill threw a dime to Jones, who reeled-in the catch and ended up gaining 51 yards on the play.
Then, on the next play, Jones caught a 15-yard pass to put the Titans into the red zone. Unfortunately for Tennessee, the offense wasn’t able to finish the drive with a touchdown, but Randy Bullock was able to make his second field goal of the afternoon, giving the Titans a 6-3 lead.
Through a quarter-plus, Jones has three catches for 83 yards and has quickly rebounded from his disappointing Week 1 showing against the Arizona Cardinals.
Newsflash for those who doubted Jones: the future Hall-of-Famer is looking as good as ever, and that’s bad news for opposing defenses.
