Najee Harris can’t really help Alex Leatherwood out this week.

Pittsburgh Steelers rookie running back Najee Harris and Las Vegas Raiders rookie offensive tackle Alex Leatherwood were teammates at the University of Alabama. Leatherwood was a big part of why Harris was so successful in college was the blocking of Leatherwood.

This week the two will be on opposite sides of the field as the Steelers take on the Raiders. When Harris spoke to the media on Friday, he was asked if he had any advice for Leatherwood in trying to block Steelers linebacker T.J. Watt on Sunday.

The best Harris could muster was “shoot, good luck I guess.” I understand Harris doesn’t want to give up any secrets to his friend but if we are being honest, there’s no trick to slowing down Watt. Just do your best and maybe pray a little.

Watt had two sacks last week against the Buffalo Bills and is looking to earn that huge new contract extension he got just days before the start of the regular season.
