Big Ten Power Rankings for Week 3: Right on Penn State, Ohio State falls

A second full week of college football has Penn State atop the Big Ten, Ohio State falling, Rutgers football in the middle, and Nebraska, not the worst team.

With a loss this weekend at home to Oregon, the entire Big Ten is turned upside down for everyone’s conference power rankings.

Well, except for us. Do you hear that noise? Good. It is us patting ourselves on the back. For one week at least.

Last week, the good folks over at RutgersWire (hey, that’s us!) had Penn State as the top team in the Big Ten after the Nittany Lions impressive win at Wisconsin to start the season. Nothing changes…for at least this week.

Penn State is the best team in the Big Ten right now, not letting up at all this past weekend with a thorough win over Ball State at home. A real test comes on Saturday when 2-0 Auburn comes to town. The Tigers are No. 20 in the latest USA TODAY Sports AFCA Coaches Poll released this past Sunday.
