Minnesota is coming off losing two of three games at home to the Kansas City Royals over the weekend. However, the Twins are 5-3 over their last eight games and have been competitive in the losses. Minnesota was 4-10 with a slew of lopsided games in its 14 games prior from Aug. 19 to Sept. 4.
The Yankees are coming off losing two of three games to the Mets at Citi Field. New York is 3-12 with a .659 OPS over its last 15 games.
The Yanks have dominated the Twins over recent years. New York is 5-1 against Minnesota this season and has clocked a 46-25 scoring advantage over the series.
Both starting pitchers are fade-worthy and they knock the sides … well, sideways. Minnesota is a slight lean on what is the fairer price here, but the Yanks have the Twins’ number and a partial-unit play on the run line paired with an Over makes for the most leverage.
