The Jacksonville Jaguars are having the roughest of days in their season opener in Houston with the score currently at 37-14, and that includes quarterback Trevor Lawrence. At the same time, he’s made some promising throws and the latest came in the third quarter.
At the 1:48 minute mark, the rookie hit receiver DJ Chark who was free near the top sideline. During the play, Lawrence rolled out to the right and saw an opportunity to throw a dime to Chark as the deep safety was a step out of position.

As previously mentioned, it’s been a tough day for the rookie quarterback, so plays like the one above will be some of the few positives fans can reflect on in Lawrence’s debut. Overall, though, this Jags team has a lot to clean up throughout the season and Sunday’s game will be one that has more than enough teaching moments.
