Rutgers football is again receiving votes in the USA TODAY Sports AFCA Coaches Poll, this after a 17-7 win at Syracuse on Saturday.

The Scarlet Knights are off to a 2-0 start for the first time since 2014.

Last week, Rutgers received 11 votes in the poll. Following their win in Week 2 over an ACC opponent, Rutgers received 10 votes this Sunday.

There was plenty of movement in the Big Ten in the poll. Rutgers begins their Big Ten schedule in two weeks at Michigan, who check in at No. 25 in the poll after being unranked a week earlier.

Iowa moved from No. 12 a week ago to seventh in the nation after a win over Iowa State on Saturday (the Big Ten program was one of the most impressive teams in the nation this past weekend). Penn State moved up a spot to No. 12 while Ohio State, after a home loss to Oregon, crashed eight spots after being No. 3 in the nation last week.

Wisconsin, unchanged at No. 17, and the aforementioned Michigan round out the five Big Ten teams in the USA TODAY Sports AFCA Coaches Poll.

A total of four Big Ten teams did not crack the poll’s top 25 but are receiving votes: (Michigan State, 63 votes), Indiana (28), Rutgers, and then Maryland (6).

In Sunday’s AP Top 25 Poll, Rutgers did not receive any votes.
