Florida stays put in USA TODAY Sports AFCA Coaches Poll following Week 2

The Gators remain in the top ten after cruising through USF.

Florida handled USF in Week 2 of the college football season despite some shakiness in the second half. The rise of Anthony Richardson continued as he the quarterback went for over 100 yards in the air and on the ground, and Emory Jones continued his inconsistent play as the starter. Following the win, the Gators remained at ninth in the most recent USA TODAY Sports AFCA Coaches Poll.

Unlike last week’s poll, two teams dropping didn’t lead to Florida rising. Oregon jumped to No. 4 after beating Ohio State and Notre Dame fell to No. 10 behind Florida after struggling with Toledo.

Alabama and Georgia remain at the top of the mountain, and Texas A&M stays put at No. 5 despite barely beating an unranked Colorado. Ole Miss crept up four spots to No. 16 and Auburn and Arkansas broke into the top 25.

Here’s the full Coaches Poll.
