The Houston Texans aren’t trailing in 2021.
The Texans took the lead early against the Jacksonville Jaguars Sunday at NRG Stadium, and it was one of their many free agents who put them on the board first.
On a third-and-goal from the 1-yard line, the Texans handed the ball off to Pro Bowler Mark Ingram, who found a crease to get into the end zone and give Houston a 7-0 lead after a Joey Slye extra point.
Tight end Pharaoh Brown mentioned on Sept. 10 that Ingram was part of a stable of running backs who will drive the offense.
“We’ve got some great backs: Mark Ingram, Phillip Lindsay, David Johnson, Scottie (Phillips), so I think the way that they want to do it, we have the tools to be able to do it and bring it,” Brown said.
