Saturday is a good example of why mock drafts and the NFL as a whole morphed into a 365-day-a-year monster — the Cincinnati Bengals had scouts at the Ohio State Buckeyes vs. Oregon Ducks showdown.

Dan Hope of Eleven Warriors noted the Bengals were one of many teams with scouts in attendance at the heavyweight encounter featuring droves of future first-round picks.

From Oregon, edge rusher Kayvon Thibodeaux looks like a top-five draft pick and has already been mocked to the Bengals. Defensive back Mykael Wright is also a big name to know.

For the Buckeyes, it’s all eyes on wideouts Garrett Wilson and Chris Olave, edge rusher Zach Harrison and offensive tackle Thayer Munford, to name a few.

Given the host of talent on display, it’s no wonder the Bengals popped up on the scene to take it in as the draft prep for next year gets going in earnest.
