The ATHLETICS (-180) are right at my personal money-line limit. They’re a great play behind the red-hot Montas, especially since he’ll be working opposite the ice-cold Keuchel.
The White Sox have had a tremendous season, but with no thanks to the bearded southpaw lately. He just can’t buy a win, and you can continue to fade Keuchel and the Pale Hose until he does.

Run line/Against the spread (ATS)
ATHLETICS -1.5 (+120) are worth a play as they look to bounce back after getting doubled up by the White Sox Tuesday.
Oakland is due as they’re on a four-game losing streak. The last time they won Montas was on the hill and they covered the run line in Detroit. They’re 5-2 in the last seven starts by Montas and they have hit the run line in four of his last five outings – including three times as a favorite.
Over/Under (O/U)
OVER 8.5 (-122) is the lean. It has nothing to do with Montas, as he won’t allow much. However, the A’s should be able to push enough across the plate to just get the Over to hit.
