The #Titans are waiving cornerback Chris Jones, source said. With a lot of CB-needy teams, he could get claimed.

The Tennessee Titans are going to waive cornerback Chris Jones from their 53-man roster, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
Jones was one of the bigger surprises to make the cut, but he did play well in training camp and the preseason. With the move, the Titans will have an open spot on their roster, which means another move is coming.
Tennessee has five players on the Reserve/COVID-19 list, including tight end Geoff Swaim, center Ben Jones and right guard Nate Davis.
Chances are this move will pave the way for at least one of them to be activated soon, and perhaps as early as Monday.
With Jones gone, the Titans now have 11 defensive backs on their roster, with six corners and five safeties. It’s highly doubtful that number will stick, and instead we expect at least one more to be waived in the coming days.
Tennessee will begin its 2021 campaign on Sunday, Sept. 12 at Nissan Stadium against the Arizona Cardinals.
