Auburn found a diamond in the rough in Jarquez Hunter.
The freshman running back was Auburn’s highest-rated player in their 60-10 route against the Akron Zips per PFF.
Hunter scored a 92.4 rating according to PFF. He scored higher than Tank Bigsby at 91.4 and Bo Nix at 91.2.
The only other player that scored over a 90 was tight end Landen King. He scored a 90.5 across his six snaps played Saturday night.
Hunter recorded nine carries for 110 yards and a touchdown in his college football debut. Hunter played in 16 snaps against the Zips.
Hunter was a late addition to Auburn’s 2021 signing class as a 3-star prospect out of Philadelphia, Mississippi.
