The Cincinnati Bengals made a handful of roster moves the day after formulating the initial 53-man roster.

First up was re-signing wide receiver Mike Thomas, who was cut the day prior after the team claimed two players on waivers. In a corresponding move, the team sent defensive end Khalid Kareem to injured reserve due to a shoulder injury.

The Bengals also added wideout Trenton Irwin back to the practice squad in its 16th and final spot. After a strong camp and making the 53, he was cut alongside Thomas to make room for waiver claims, passed through waivers himself, then got brought back.

This won’t mark the end of roster moves for the Bengals, as they’ll have an eye on waivers, free agents and trades. Other injured players might need to get moved to certain lists and the lack of a third quarterback on the practice squad could get addressed, too.
