Notre Dame quarterback commit sets a school record

The Irish got a good one

A little over a year ago, Notre Dame found their quarterback for the 2022 class in New Jersey’s Steve Angeli. With many high schools across the country either getting started or have started their seasons, everyone is interested in the progression of the recruits.

Well, for Angeli, he came out with a fire in his hands, setting a Bergen Catholic school record for consecutive completions with 14. According to this tweet, Angeli was almost perfect, as just two of his attempts went for incompletions while another two of them went for scores. It’s safe to say, it was a very successful opening game for the Irish commit.

Already recognized as one of the best players in the country, the six-foot-three-inch and 215-pound quarterback obviously has something to prove. It’s great to see Angeli with an excellent opening week game, and we expect to hear much more about his efforts before he arrives in South Bend.
