The New England Patriots have agreed to terms on a trade for Kansas City Chiefs offensive lineman Yasir Durant in exchange for a 2022 seventh-round pick, according to the Kansas City Star’s Herbie Teope.
Durant played in 11 games during the 2020 regular season. He started on one game in Week 17. The 23-year-old offensive linemen went undrafted out of the University of Missouri. In college, he started 33 of 34 games for the Tigers after transferring in from Arizona Western College. He seems to have the versatility to play both guard and tackle.
It seems Durant will make the Patriots’ 53-man roster, alongside other locks like Isaiah Wynn, Michael Onwenu, David Andrews, Shaq Mason, Trent Brown and Ted Karras. The final roster spots are still up for grabs.
