Both Bobby Brown III and Xavier Jones left Saturday’s preseason finale with injuries in the second half, but Sean McVay had an encouraging update on them after the 17-12 loss.
Brown had to be helped off the field after he appeared to injure his knee, with the training staff examining his left leg after he went down. McVay said he seemed to be OK, with his knee checking out pretty well in the initial evaluation of it.
Xavier Jones limped off later on in the fourth quarter and was getting his ankle taped on the sideline. He didn’t return to the game, but McVay is hopeful about him, too.
(2/2) McVay: "It seemed like the same thing with Xavier, that he's going to be okay."

That’s a good sign because both Jones and Brown figure to be contributors at some point, especially with the running backs banged up, as well as A’Shawn Robinson along the defensive line.
