The return of college football this weekend meant the return of College GameDay. That being the case, it was time for those sitting at the desk of ESPN’s flagship college football program to make their predictions for the College Football Playoff. Desmond Howard was the first to unveil his bracket, and it included Notre Dame, much to the chagrin of Lee Corso:

It’s worth noting that while Howard thinks the Irish will be one of the four teams left standing, he does not believe they will shake the trend of being knocked out in the semifinals. As much as many people like to buy the Notre Dame hype, it appears to at least some people, that only goes so far.
What do you think? Will the Irish vindicate Howard and make a playoff run that not many people are expecting? Is Howard completely out of his mind? Only the Irish can answer that question beginning next weekend.
