Sony Michel came into the NFL as a first-round pick in 2018, a rare skill-position selection by Bill Belichick in Round 1. He didn’t exactly live up to expectations with the Patriots in his three seasons, but Michel is getting a fresh start in Los Angeles.
The Rams traded a 2022 sixth-round pick and fourth-rounder in 2023 for Michel this week, adding some much-needed depth to their backfield, which is without Cam Akers due to an Achilles injury.
Michel rushed for 2,292 yards and 14 touchdowns with New England, adding another 258 yards and a touchdown as a receiver, averaging a respectable 4.3 yards per carry. Injuries have limited him up to this point, too, as they do for most running backs.
Looking back on his time with the Patriots, here’s a cut-up of every touchdown he scored with his old team.
