We are 1 week away from the return of full Saturdays of College Football and one of the marquee games on the week 1 schedule is a very tough conference game as Penn State takes on Wisconsin from Madison Wisconsin.
Kirk Herbstreit was a guest on the Dan Patrick Show on Wednesday & he would say that the Winner of Penn State vs Wisconsin will have a good chance to move into the Top 10 & maybe make the College Football Playoff
ESPN college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit was a guest on The Dan Patrick Show on Wednesday. After promoting his book and sharing some stories with Patrick, Herbstreit was asked what team outside the top 10 of the preseason rankings may have the best chance to move into the top 10. His answer eventually focused on Penn State and the season-opening opponent for the Nittany Lions, the Wisconsin Badgers.
“Let’s say Wisconsin could maybe be a surprise team,” Herbstreit said. “They were a down team a year ago. They seem to be a team that could be on the bounce.”
But Herbstreit didn’t forget about Penn State. His thoughts quickly noted Penn State could be in that same conversation.
“I think the winner actually of the Penn State-Wisconsin game, whoever wins that game I think could bounce and have a legitimate shot to get up into the top 10 pretty quickly.”
