The latest in the series of fantasy football positional previews, following the running backs and the rookie class. Now it’s time for the wide receivers.
1. Tyreek Hill, Chiefs – the fastest player in the NFL and Patrick Mahomes as his quarterback puts him at the top of the list, but his inconsistent target volume can be frustrating at times.
2. Stefon Diggs, Bills – he came on the scene in a major way last year and it appears he is set for another tremendous season in Buffalo as they push for the ultimate prize.
3. Davante Adams, Packers – the touchdown production will be hard to replicate, but he is so smooth and sudden in his routes that the catches and yards will always be there based on where he is now in his career.
4. Calvin Ridley, Falcons – with the departure of Julio Jones this could be a massive breakout year for Ridley.
5. D.K. Metcalf, Seahawks – size, speed, and the perfect offense. Look for Metcalf to have a phenomenal season.
6. Justin Jefferson, Vikings – after setting rookie records and being one of the big fantasy football surprises in 2020, he is now a top target at the position and in dynasty leagues.
7. A.J. Brown, Titans – he is just such a physical player, but his lack of catches has always been what has kept him out of the top few spots. Not sure that will change with Derrick Henry and Julio Jones needing their opportunities too.
8. DeAndre Hopkins, Cardinals – the Cardinals look his way early and often, but there could be a bit of a drop-off this year in his overall production.
9. CeeDee Lamb, Cowboys – could be a Top 5 guy when it’s all said and done. We will see how they distribute the ball in this offense, but when the ball is in the air there are not many people better in the game today.
10. Keenan Allen, Chargers – the constant veteran who no one can cover. He is always open, he has a young quarterback now, and another solid WR1 fantasy season seems to be in reach.
11. Allen Robinson II, Bears – without question, he is the top target in Chicago and he keeps putting up quality numbers since he has been there.
12. Chris Godwin, Buccaneers – this player could be a league-winner as he has tons of talent, comes at a great value, and Tom Brady is his quarterback.
13. Terry McLaurin, Washington – one of those players that continues to be on the rise and just produces.
14. Robert Woods, Rams – experienced veteran that will love having Matthew Stafford as his quarterback plus he often gets you some rushing yards and touchdowns in that area too.
15. D.J. Moore, Panthers – explosive run and catch wide receiver that continues to put up 1,000-yard seasons. Will Sam Darnold get him to the next level? Fantasy owners can’t wait to see.
16. Julio Jones, Titans – often injured, but always productive when he’s out. Still one of the most freakish players in the NFL
17. Cooper Kupp, Rams – the type of wide receiver that Matthew Stafford hasn’t had since Golden Tate, and he used to pepper Tate with targets so expect the same for Kupp.
18. Diontae Johnson, Steelers – Pittsburgh has a nice trio of wide receivers, but expect Johnson to be the top guy this year especially in Point Per Reception (PPR) Leagues.
19. Mike Evans, Buccaneers – there hasn’t been a season where he hasn’t had over 1,000 yards, but this could be the year where he falls short.
20. Amari Cooper, Cowboys – often has foot injuries or other ailments, but when he is on the field he runs great routes and puts up big numbers.
