How the 2008 Boston Celtics helped get a man across the Bulgarian border

Anything is indeed evidently possible.

Sometimes, being knowledgeable about the Boston Celtics can pay international dividends, such as the case of Jalopnik writer David Tracy when he found himself stuck in a web of bureaucracy at the Bulgarian border on a cross-Europe road trip.

Already having lost one of his credit cards in Istanbul, Turkey, the author found himself without enough money to pass the toll on the way out of the country in cash and his sole remaining payment option necessitating a PIN the credit card did not in fact have to be given. Stuck between a proverbial rock and a hard place, Tracy was stuck with no clear option to move forward on his trip and had to call his bank.

As goes all such calls, he was on hold for some time in the hot summer sun.
