The Cleveland Browns facing off with the New York Giants in a game of young guys and backups. For each team, leaving the game with as few injuries as possible was the primary goal.
While the Browns have taken a 14 – 7 lead going into the 4th quarter, even more important is the health of the players. With many of those still in the game at this point, they are fighting for roster spots or to be added to a practice squad.
The Browns had cornerback Greedy Williams leave the game with a groin injury.
Unfortunately, Montrel Meander was added to the list as he was carted off the field late in the third quarter:
Montrel Meander was re-signed on Friday b/c #Browns were banged up at linebacker. He’s being carted off the field now and to the locker room with 1:03 left in the third quarter.

As noted, the Browns just brought back Meander due to a need for linebackers due to injury. The team has updated Meander’s injury as an ankle issue:

With five more cuts coming early in the week, the team could look to add another linebacker or two as well. Along with Meander, the Browns brought back Willie Harvey Jr. this week.
