Miles Bridges reacts to his surprisingly low NBA 2K22 rating

Miles Bridges’ rating was downgraded for the release of NBA 2K22.

Miles Bridges solidified his position as one of the best dunkers in the NBA and a key player for the Charlotte Hornets in his third season, but you wouldn’t know that from his most recent NBA 2K ratings.

With the release of NBA 2K22 approaching in September, the 2K team has started to release updated player ratings – and Bridges has been snubbed both as a dunker and as an overall player.

Bridges didn’t receive a top-5 dunk rating despite providing a steady supply of jaw-dropping, highlight reel dunks last season, but his overall rating in 2K22 is even more puzzling.

Before finding out his overall rating, Bridges said he hoped to be in the low 80s, and progress to the high 80s throughout the season. NBA 2K regularly updates players’ ratings throughout the season to reflect their recent performances.

Somehow, though, the 2K team saw fit to downgrade Bridges to a 78 overall. He didn’t seem worried about the snub, but we have some questions for whoever settled on that number.

“I mean… I was a 79 last year…. It’s going to go up so I’m not trippin’.”
