Nick Sirianni said that Jalen Hurts came to the stadium complaining of a stomach thing. Went through warm-ups, didn’t feel great, decided to sit him.

The Eagles seem to have some insight into what prevented Jalen Hurts from starting the team’s second preseason game just moments before kickoff.
Head coach Nick Sirianni confirmed that Hurts was dealing with an intense stomach cramp that forced the second-year star to visit the emergency room for evaluation. Had this been a regular-season or playoff game, Hurts likely would have been able to play amid the Eagles taking this precaution.
Adam Schefter reported that Hurts is dealing with a stomach infection, and will require a few day’s rests.
Eagles’ QB Jalen Hurts was sent to a Philadelphia Hospital and diagnosed with a stomach infection and told to stay at home to rest for at least two days. He tested negative for Covid.

The absence of the athletic quarterback allowed Philadelphia to see what life could be with Joe Flacco or Nick Mullens under center.
Flacco was 10-for-17 for 83 yards, with one interception and a 46.9 passer rating. The veteran targeted his wide receivers eight times, completing three for 24 yards, with his longest being a 12-yard completion.
