Nebraska football and head coach Scott Frost are under investigation for several suspected violations relating to unauthorized off-campus workouts and improper roles during games and practices. The news was first reported by Brett McMurphy of The Action Network, and confirmed by Nebraska on Wednesday.
The report said that Nebraska has “significant video footage” that shows practice violations occurring with Frost present along with other assistants.
Last year, the NCAA disallowed organized workouts due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the report appears to show there is clear evidence that the Huskers participated in those banned workouts.
Here is what Nebraska AD Trev Alberts had to say yesterday surrounding the investigation:
Trev Alberts could not say much but by showing up, speaking– unscheduled with Scott Frost after this morning's practice said a lot IMO. @KETV pic.twitter.com/opfCbYMXXZ
