Report: Nets to face LeBron and the Lakers in Christmas Day showdown

Kevin Durant and the Nets will travel to L.A. to take on LeBron and the Lakers on Christmas Day.

The NBA will release the 2021-22 regular-season schedule at 3:00 p.m. ET on Tuesday, but ahead of the full schedule rollout, ESPN is reporting that the Nets will highlight a loaded Christmas Day slate.

According to ESPN, the Nets will face LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers on December 25th at Staples Center. James will have a chance to become the NBA’s all-time leading scorer in Christmas Day games, as his teams have been featured nearly every year. James surpassed Oscar Robinson for second place on the scoring list in 2020, and is 12 points behind Lakers legend Kobe Bryant.

The Christmas Day schedule will also include Atlanta vs. New York and Dallas vs. Utah.
