The Tim Tebow experiment is over in Jacksonville.
The former Heisman Trophy winner, first-round pick, and minor-league outfielder’s comeback ended Tuesday when the Jacksonville Jaguars cut Tebow.
He was attempting a return to the NFL as a tight end despite never having played the position.
Tebow played in one preseason game, a 23-13 loss to the Cleveland Browns.
One pass was thrown his way but a fellow Jaguar caught ir. Tebow also was ridiculed for his attempt at blocking, which like the comeback was abysmal.
As always, the Heisman winner from Florida and former No. 1 pick of he Denver Broncos took the high road.
Thank you to the @Jaguars organization and everyone who has supported me in this journey.
