Jalen Ramsey is widely viewed as the best cornerback in the NFL right now after locking down just about every receiver he faced last season. He’ll have another year of facing the top wideouts in the NFL in 2021, including the Vikings’ breakout star, Justin Jefferson.

The Rams won’t face the Vikings until Dec. 26 in Week 16, but Jefferson already has that game circled for one reason: Jalen Ramsey.

He was asked on the “All Things Covered” podcast which corner he’s looking forward to facing most, and he quickly blurted out Ramsey’s name.

“Jalen Ramsey,” Jefferson said. “I’m waiting. That game is circled. That game is circled for me.”

Jefferson was a second-team All-Pro last season after catching 88 passes for 1,400 yards and seven touchdowns as a rookie. He was outstanding in his first season with the Vikings, nearly winning Offensive Rookie of the Year.

There’s no reason to believe he can’t follow that up with another great season in Minnesota, but that matchup in Week 16 will be his toughest yet in the NFL – and that’s taking into account that he faces Jaire Alexander twice a year in the NFC North.

December 26 can’t come soon enough because Jefferson-Ramsey is going to be a heavyweight bout.
