D’Mitrik Trice waited his turn at 2021 NBA Summer League. Through four games with the Milwaukee Bucks, his playing time had been scarce as they went towards players who were already established pieces of the franchise.
In his fifth and final game, however, the Bucks gave the former Badger a chance that he made the most of. Trice all of a sudden became Milwaukee’s primary offensive initiator when he came off the bench. Although the Bucks fell 94-87 to the Denver Nuggets, Trice had a breakout offensive game using many of the same maneuvers that we saw at Wisconsin.
In 26 minutes, the former Badger led Milwaukee with 24 points on 10-16 from the field. It was an array of pull-up two’s, threes off the catch, and even a gorgeous extension finish over Denver big man Matur Maker:

Trice connected on three of his six looks from three and dished out 3 assists. In his final NBA Summer League appearance, the Badger point guard was at his best. Whether in the NBA or elsewhere, Trice will now look for a professional opportunity.
